Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test- Bihar TET Applications, Hall Tickets, Results Info 2011

Bihar has geared up for the conduct of Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test 2011. The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Bihar, Patna is given the responsibility of conducting Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test (BTET / Bihar TET) Examination 2011. The State Government of Bihar has also announced that about 3 lakh teachers will be recruited on the basis of qualification in TET exam. Application forms for this most demanding examination will be made available from 1st July 2011. The application forms can be obtained from the offices of District Education Officer (DEOs) in all the districts of Bihar. Cost of application is Rs. 100 (Rs. 50 for SC/ST candidates). Following are other details such as eligibility, exam structure, download of hall tickets and application procedure and also results of Bihar TET 2011:

Eligibility / Qualifications required to apply for Bihar TET 2011:

1. For those aspiring to become Primary School Teacher (Class 1 to 5): Candidates should have passed in Intermediate with minimum 50 percent marks. Relaxations will be applicable for candidates with diploma in education / D.Ed. or equivalent degree. Non Bihar candidates must have two year diploma in education / D.Ed. 2. For candidates aspiring to become Middle School Teacher (Class 6 to 8 ): Applicants should have Graduation (B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com/ Alim /Shashtri or equivalent) with at least 50 percent marks. Relaxation in qualifying degree marks applicable for candidates with diploma in education / D.Ed. Candidate with technical degree qualifications such as BCA/ BE./ B.Tech are not eligible for Bihar TET.

Any candidate without B.Ed. also can apply for this test. If selected, these candidates have to pass 2 year diploma in education (D.Ed.) course or 1 year B.Ed course within 5 years . Applicants age must be below 37 years as on 17th July 2011. Relaxations apply for OBC / EBC Male and Female and (till 40 years) and SC/ ST Male and Female (till 42 years) as per the rules.

Exam Structure of Bihar TET: There will be two question papers for TET exam. These are described below:

1) Paper I: Intended for those want to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5.
2) Paper II: Intended for those aspiring to become teacher for the classes between 6 and 8.
3) Paper I and II: If you want keep your chances of becoming a teacher for any classes from 1 to 8 with you, then you may need to appear for both the papers.

The last date for the receipt of completed applications will be announced by the SCERT or Department of school Education. The Bihar TET is likely to be conducted during August 2011. Application forms will be available in all District Education Offices, SDO offices, and high schools in the state. Filled in applications should be submitted in same district from where the candidate has purchased the application from. Department of School Education, Government of Bihar shall decide the weightage to be accorded for those candidates qualified in Bihar TET Examination at the time of teachers recruitment. Candidates qualified in Bihar TET will be eligible for teacher jobs in Government, Aided and Private Schools in the state of Bihar.
